For Kids (Birth to Grade 5)
Stonecreek Church has three environments dedicated to helping a parent lead their children to pursue life in Jesus as his or her greatest passion.
Hey Parents! The new school year is just around the corner! And we look forward to promoting your Nursery, Splash! and Kidzu kids to their new grades and environments.
Our children's enviornments begin promptly at 9:30 and 11 a.m. each Sunday.
Nursery
We welcome you and your child to Stonecreek’s nursery environment, Sprout! We firmly believe the first two years of life are of unparalleled importance in building character, love and a positive response to Jesus Christ and the church. It is a privilege for us to partner with you in the spiritual development of your child and we promise to provide clean, safe and high-quality learning environments every Sunday at both 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Susan Pirkey, Interim Sprout Coordinator (770-754-7900 x102, ).
Stonecreek Welcomes Our New Sprout Coordinator
We are excited to announce that Jennifer "Jen" Valencia has accepted the position of Sprout Coordinator. Jen and her husband Dustin have been a part of Stonecreek Church since 2006. Their passion for seeing God shape and restore families, has led them to serve consistently over the years as small group leaders in both adult and student ministries. Jen has led a group of girls through their middle school and high school years, and will have the privilege of watching them graduate later this month. While being a consistent advocate for these students, she has led Bible studies, discussion times, and prayer times. In addition, Jen and Dustin led a team of high school students to Haiti with Compassion International during Spring Break 2012.
Jen is a graduate of the University of Georgia, with a Bachelors of Science in Middle School Education and a TESOL certification. She served as a 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher at Duluth Middle School from 2005-2007. Jen and Dustin have four children: Sophia Noelle (5), Olivia Grace (3), Harper Louise (2), and their new addition, Moses Leon (3 weeks). In her spare time, Jen enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with family.
Stonecreek would like to thank Susan Pirkey for serving as an incredible Interim Coordinator. Susan will help transition the role to Jen so she can begin her first Sunday, June 2.

Frequently Asked Questions From Parents
How old does my child have to be to start attending the nursery?
Our recommendation is that your child is at least six weeks old prior to bringing him or her to the nursery.
What security measures are followed in the Nursery?
All children must be accompanied to their rooms by a parent or adult guardian and will only be released to the parent or guardian who has the Quicklink parental receipt. If a Quicklink receipt is lost, your child’s teacher will ask to see your picture ID/driver’s license before the child is released. Only adults can pick up a child from their room.
What can I do as a parent to make our child’s first time in the nursery a positive experience?
For a child’s first experience in our nursery to be happy and meaningful, the major responsibility is in the hands of his or her parents. It is best for one parent to bring the child to his room and leave him at the door. Please do not enter the room unless you have a sleeping child. As your child begins to walk, allow him to walk into his room. This builds confidence and independence.
If you forget something and must return to your child’s room, please stay out of sight, knock quietly and whisper to the teacher. Then quickly leave. Avoid letting your child see you because this may trigger his inner clock to think it’s time to go.
What will my child’s experience be in the nursery on Sunday mornings?
While your child is in our nursery environment, he or she will enjoy a variety of experiences. These will include Bible stories, craft time and planned activities in our center areas. Your child will enjoy books, puzzles, home living, blocks and music. Our classes are staffed with dedicated adults who are actively involved in your child’s learning. Our goal is to provide a loving encouraging environment for your child.

Splash! (Age 3-K)
Splash! exists to connect with children ages three through Kindergarten and lead them to understand what it means to pursue life in Jesus as their greatest passion. To accomplish this mission we engage your child in a large group time of teaching and worship as well as a small group environment with games, crafts and engaging activities.
Kidzu (grades 1-5)
Kidzu is how we connect with kids in first through fifth grade and lead them to pursue life in Jesus as their greatest passion. During Sunday mornings we accomplish this mission through two different formats. We have our small groups where each child spends time with their friends and leaders and our large group is where we come together for teaching and worship. Throughout the school year we have two identical experiences at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
