Prayer Guide :: Reach Your New Peak
A spiritual journey and prayer go hand in hand. Use this prayer guide to read from the Bible, reflect on the passage, and respond to God's leading. Set a time to go through this guide as a family. Or, if you're single, connect with a trusted friend as you consider what God would have you give.
Download .pdf version of 'Weeks 1 & 2,' and 'Weeks 3 & 4.' If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader download it now.
Or, you can see each week's Prayer Guide below.
Week One - Go Already
In order to raise our game, we must be sure that we are in the game. As you examine your life, does it reflect a with-God life?
Read / Luke 10:27
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind."
Reflect
God wants our entire life to be in the game. That involves our head, heart and hands.
Respond / Head. Heart. Hands.
Head - Take the challenge to read the Bible every day for one month. Check back during the upcoming RAISE YOUR GAME SERIES for several reading plan options to make it easier for you.
Heart - Pray that God would renew your passion to follow Him. Ask Him to make you aware of opportunities to include Him in your everyday life.
Hands - Ask God to show you opportunities to serve Him in tangible ways. Volunteer for a neighborhood project, or serve in a strategic ministry at Stonecreek.
Week Two - Full Throttle
Read Philippians 3:12
"I press onto take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me."
Reflect
People with effective lives are able to increase their intensity in order to raise their game. This happens by understanding the goal and embracing the challenge. What areas of your life could you intensify in order to accelerate your walk with God? What is stopping you?
Respond
Take every decision to God first. Remember several times throughout the day that you are a follower of Christ, and invite God to be involved in your daily life.
Week Three - Give Back
Read 2 Corinthians 8:3
"For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability."
Reflect
Your giving changes lives. Giving to God allows us to "play over our heads" and multiplies our impact. Stonecreek Church exists for those who are not here yet, and your contribution extends the message of life in Christ to others.
Respond
Ask God to reveal to you a specific financial commitment beyond your regular giving for our RAISE YOUR GAME challenge. This commitment will allow you to partner together with others in order to raise Stonecreek's game and embrace the cause of reaching our communities. Complete your 15-month commitment card and bring it to Stonecreek on Sunday, March 4.
Week Four - Time To Shine
Read 2 Timothy 4:7-9
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness..."
Reflect
Yogi Berra is credited with the saying, "It ain't over until it's over." Winners finish strong. When we commit to raise our game, God will enable us to finish strong. Based on how you've lived your life, what do you think God has stored up for you?
Respond
Are you giving 100% to God? Take inventory of every area of your life - relationships, finances, behaviors - and ask God to show you areas where you are giving less than everything. Bring your largest "first offering" towards your RAISE YOUR GAME commitment to Stonecreek on Sunday, March 11.
Stonecreek Church exists to connect with people and lead them into an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
