Tell Us About The Intentional Act You Received

Our hope is that the Intentional Act of Christmas you received brightened your day and helped you feel a little bit of what Christmas is truly all about. Use the space below to tell us what you experienced when you received your Intentional Act of Christmas.

What Some Have Already Shared...

"I am so thankful and humbled by the tremendous acts of Christmas I received over Christmas from a few angels at Stonecreek Church. I am raising two great-nieces, orphaned when their dad killed their mom several years ago. When it happened, I prayed for the Lord's direction and at the same time tried to convince Him I had no idea about raising kids! I faced a family court judge in another state, against grandparents and an aunt/uncle (all admitted athiests). I felt alone and outnumbered so I prayed again for God's Will in the proceedings. A calm came over me and I stopped shaking. An hour later, I was a single mom with two girls, headed back to Georgia. I merged onto I-85 and muttered "Lord, you do realize I don't even know the schools in my area." Everything fell into place because I let God guide every decision. We are blessed to have a church home like Stonecreek. I had no idea a Stonecreek neighbor and friend had requested help on our behalf. With a recent job loss and Christmas coming, I had that alone and outnumbered feeling again. It is hard for me to admit I need help sometimes but God is very patient with me. I just prayed for a full time job but God took care of us immediately! My Stonecreek friend showed up a few days before Christmas to give us multiple gift cards from two Stonecreek guardian angels. The generosity was amazing. These bought Christmas for the girls and filled our fridge with weeks worth of food. I want to thank these wonderful people from the bottom of my heart. You met our needs. My favorite gift in all this is to see my nieces faces of appreciation when I explained what our church family did. They know first hand that God will meet our needs if we will trust Him. That is the best example of Christianity they could experience. We look forward to being able to do for someone else in need someday. Thank you again so much for everything!"

"I am a single mother of three boys. Because of the situation I am in, going through a divorce and the loss of my job due to the economy, it has been hard for me recently. I knew that what little I had would not cover Christmas for my boys. I responded to an email that was sent out for single parents, to get help with gifts. Well I had gone to pick up the gifts for the kids before Christmas. And later I got a phone call that one sponsor had not been able to make it to drop off my oldest sons gift. I met her the next day and she handed me over the items for my 16 yr. old son. He loves football, so she got him lots of great football things plus some nice clothes. I felt so grateful, that even though I couldn't help my children right now. That she helped pick up the baton and helped finish the race. He was so excited and filled with joy when he opened the gifts. She also gave me some coupons to participate in a jumping thing they had at the Mall of GA. Well I received it that day I put it in my glove box, knowing that we would not be there till after the holidays. As I was picking up my son from school, this week. I opened up the envelope, and I found a gift card for gas. I broke down to cry, because I have been faced with fear of "what am I going to do?" I can't find a job.....I had been just overwhelmed with worry and fear for several days. And when I saw that card, it was a sign to me that GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL. That card represented to me hope again. To keep pressing and not give up! So I wanted to share this to the family who gave. THANK YOU."

"I am a single mom with a seven year old daughter in first grade and work for a professional services firm that requires me to work long hours. I absolutely love my job, but am spending long hours at the office in order to meet the goals and expectations for our division. I always say that as long as nothing is being repossessed, the lights are on and we have food in our bellies, it's all GOOD! While this is true, there isn't an abundance of money in case of emergency. Two weeks before Christmas, I had a check engine light come on in my car. In taking it to the dealership, I was told that I needed a valve replaced which would cost $187. This may not sound like much, but without a stash of cash, or a spouse or any family to lean on it put me in a bit of a bind. I have been absolutely blessed by God to have a wonderful friend that I met through work. In conversation, I mentioned the ordeal with my car, but then quickly moved on to another topic. An hour later she put a card in an envelope on my desk. I knew that she cared about me and expected it to be an encouraging; I love you and am here for you card… and it was. BUT, it also had a VISA gift card for $100 in it!!! She made such a huge impact on my heart that day. Not just because of the dollar amount, but because she told me that she admired my strength. I respect her completely and am truly grateful we’re friends. God works amazing miracles through people!"

"I live in Rome, Georgia and was shopping on Christmas Eve at Walmart. I was talking to my children in line and realized that the man in front of me was still there and it was my items being checked-out! I told him and he just smiled and said "Merry Christmas"! The cashier gave me a paid receipt and a card that told me about an intentional Act of Christmas! What a great testament for my young teenage sons to see the true meaning of Christmas! Thank you so much for this wonderful act of kindness."

"My Husband died in June and I am facing forclosure on my home. We will probably have to be out of our house by the first of the year. At least we made it through Christmas. I have a restaurant and it is not making any money and I am going to probably have to close it. I am not getting any income. Thank God for my daughters and all their help. People in my neighborhood have been great. My neighbor on one side of me mowed my grass all summer and the neighbor on the other side mowed my grass when my husband died and the neighborhood took up money and gave us in this time. Everyone has been great. Then, the other day we were going out our door and someone had left a gift on our porch and this card was attached from Stonecreek Pause. It is greatly appreciated. Thank you for everything. May God richly bless you!"

"The Veranda is an assisted living community in Roswell exclusively for seniors that suffer from Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. Three groups visited this very special community on Sunday to spread cheer to the residents and the caregivers. Stonecreek members came with their arms full of baked goods, warm blankets and festive stuffed animals to brighten the day of the residents. My heart was overjoyed and my eyes misted up watching these wonderful people (adults and children) cover the residents with the softest blankets you have ever felt. As you can imagine, this time of year brings many volunteers to the community to spread holiday cheer to the residents. The caregivers are often not recognized for the very important work they do - the caregivers are the heart and soul of this community! They couldn't believe the spread of goodies that were left just for them in our conference room. Someone even baked sugar free treats, as we have a handful of caregivers who are diabetic. They were so appreciative to be thought of in such a kind way. What a wonderful act to witness. I was so proud to be associated with Stonecreek and all the good things our church does for the community and around the world!"

"I work at the WalMart in Alpharetta,Ga on Windward Pkwy. I had no idea what to think when a nice young man walked up to me and said "Merry Christmas" and then ran off! I tried to stop him to let him know this was not my money; he looked back and said to just read the card! Words cannot describe how I felt to have received such a random, kind gesture from a complete stranger! I think what this organization is doing is absolutely wonderful and the world should all join in. Thank you for the wonderful and joyous act of kindness that I have received."

"I had opened the front door to go to the mailbox when to my surprise there was a large gift bag with an angel with peace on it. I opened it with my daughter and it was exactly what we needed due to my Father passing away exactly one month ago today. I am having a very hard time getting into the Christmas spirit but I have a beautiful daughter who is 9 years old that I need to make sure that this does not effect her Christmas. This really brightened my day and my spirit and as well as my daughter. Thank you so very much for whomever was responsible for this act of kindness."

"As the tears roll down my face...Last night my husband, youngest son and I were looking around Walmart when we were approached by a couple and young lady. They asked my husband if they could give him a gift. My husband paused and didn't know what to say as the man handed him three cards. I walked up and thanked them not knowing what they had given. The couple walked away as we looked at our "gift" and to our surprise, it was two $25 Walmart gift cards and a "This is Christmas" card. The Lord really does work in mysterious ways. As this holiday season has arrived, we have been very down on our luck and have asked why everything has gone down in such a fast spiral. We were wondering how we were going to pay our bills and buy something for our kids for Christmas. Then, a stranger gives us this much needed and appreciated gift. THANK YOU! I hope that this family knows that they have given to a family who really could use the gifts right now."

"Today, I was at a McDonalds in Alpharetta, GA going through the drive-thru. When I arrived to the window to pay for my meal, the cashier told me that a woman in the car in front of me had paid for my food and asked her to give me the Intentional Act of Christmas Card. I looked up to see who the person was that did it and she had already pulled out of the parking lot. I was so overwhelmed by the anonymous - intentional act that I stopped my car in the middle of the parking lot to read the card. I couldn't wait to return to my office to go to this website to see what or who inspired her to do that. I am deeply touched and feel blessed that I happened to be behind her today because she has inspired me to bring joy to someone's life the way that she has mine; and she put me back in rememberance of what the true meaning of Christmas is. Thank you!"

"I received an Intentional Act of Christmas from one of my best friends. She heard me say I needed something for my new business, and she bought it for me. It really is true that the smallest things mean the most."

"One of our regular customers at my part-time job came in last night and brought Starbucks coffee for everyone. I found the Intentional Act of Christmas card on the side of the cup and thought it was such as great idea. It's amazing how a simple act of kindness can change a person's day. It reminded me of the true spirit of Christmas and inspired me to do something to help others."

"We were the recipient of a "Christmas Card"!! We had to leave town last week unexpectedly for a death in the family. We left our garbage bin out by the street fully intending to call our neighbor to have them retrieve the bin later that day but... we forgot. When we returned from being out of town someone had pulled our bin up to the house and taped a card on it - small gesture but worth so much to us!!!"

"My Daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had surgery in October. She has some residual tumor that cannot be safely removed surgically. We are waiting to hear if her chemotherapy treatment will be daily oral or once a week I.V. My daughter continues to be her happy, positive spunky self. Our whole family has been blessed with an amazing outpouring of meals, gifts, helping hands, and prayers. We have received not one, but two International Acts of Christmas. On Friday we received a beautiful family movie basket and today we received a Chuckle Buddie that is a motion activated laughing monkey. Family time and laughter is just what we need! We appreciate all of the thoughtfulness and generosity!"

"Last Friday I received an Intentional Act of kindness--a gift card for coffee. This simple act moved me in a way that I have not felt in a long time. My husband and I had been talking about helping out a family this year, and this motivated us to take action. A friend of ours had sent information about a family at the school where she teaches, and we passed it on by purchasing clothing for the children. We are certainly fortunate to have jobs right now and hope to help some others this Christmas season and in the future. Thank you so much for this wonderful movement! Merry Christmas!"

"Today at work I received an Intentional Act of Christmas gift. I was so overwhelmed by the thought, the love and kindness it was very hard to contain myself. My husband had recently had his pay cut in half due to the economy and I had began working at Walmart at night just to get us through Christmas. This gift was just what we needed in such a stressful time. I'm so blessed by God and by your Church words could never express my gratitude. My kids will truly have a Merry Christmas now."
