We realize there are many questions when attending a new environment. We want you to know what to expect when you attend our gatherings. Please know you will not be singled out in any way. You will be welcomed by a team who can show you around and answer any questions you may have. You will also find welcoming environments for all ages and backgrounds.
We believe church should be one of the most engaging places, and we give great attention to make sure your visit is meaningful. Our desire is that our Sunday Worship Gatherings inspire you toward your next step in your spiritual journey.
I invite you and your family to join us for one of our Worship Gatherings and discover why so many have made Stonecreek their church. If you have children or students, they will enjoy our Next Generation environments. See below for details, times and dates for each of our unique environments, all of which are designed to speak creatively to your heart about the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
I look forward to the opportunity to meet you, so catch me in the lobby and say hello.
February 6, 2000. We had just come out of "Ice Storm 2000" and survived the feared 1999-2000 rollover. The people of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia, generously provided start-up funds and organization for a new church to be planted in Alpharetta. With anticipation, 31 adults and 38 children unloaded trailers full of staging equipment, media and chairs with hopes that people would show up for Stonecreek Church's first worship gathering at the rented Alpharetta Community Center. 524 people gathered that day, and the Lord began building Stonecreek Church.
What seems most important about our story is the work that God is doing inside each of us. Jesus came to give us life. Life does not exist in brick and mortar. We have a physical address, but that’s not really Stonecreek Church. To truly know our story, you need to know us, the people of Stonecreek. Our individual stories fashion us together, displaying the restoring work of our Creator.
Today, Stonecreek Church has welcomed hundreds of individuals into the Kingdom of God and has been a light to show others a path of freedom found in the Gospel message. Over 1,300 people gather each week united under a common purpose: pursuing life in Jesus as our greatest passion. Our story continues to be written and we welcome the opportunity to be a part of the story God is writing in you. Come take your next steps with us.
Stonecreek's Sunday Worship Gatherings are casual environments designed to inspire and challenge people to pursue life in Jesus as their greatest passion. Our Worship Gatherings include moments of prayer, bringing our tithes and offerings, singing, listening to teaching from the Bible. Music and visuals are used to awaken our mind and soul to the restoring work of God through Jesus Christ.
Our Adult Gatherings are approximately 70 minutes. We encourage you to arrive in plenty of time to be in your seat a few minutes before the service begins. Immediately following each gathering, Communion is offered at the front of the auditorium for those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 11).
We design this gathering with adults in mind. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of the safe Next Generation environments we have for children and students.
Sprout: Infants 6 weeks through preschool can enjoy time in safe, developmentally appropriate rooms with trained Leaders at both 9:30 and 11 a.m. gatherings.
Splash: Preschool age through Kindergarteners can participate in large group time for engaging worship and an age-appropriate message from a platform teacher at both 9:30 a.m and 11 a.m. services.
Our elementary environment is designed to be a fun and engaging environment for students to participate in large group time with worship and an age-appropriate message, as well as small group time divided into gender and age-specific groups.
Kidzu: Students in grades 1 through 5 can meet in our Kidzu Theater during both our 9:30 and 11 a.m. service times.
Our student environment is packed full of games and amazing worship music as well as relevant messages and small group time. Every element is designed to help students explore what it means to pursue life in Jesus as their passion. Our combined middle school and high school student gathering takes place every Wednesday night. Join us for food and games starting at 5:45 and our worship service, which starts at 7:00.
Our closest parking is reserved for first time guests and parents of infants & preschoolers. Our amazing volunteers are ready to assist you in finding a parking spot quickly and will even have an umbrella for you if it's raining. We are looking forward to seeing you!
The HUB (our Guest Service desk) is located in the middle of our main Lobby. You'll see it as soon as you enter the main entrance. Visit The HUB to check-in your children, pick up a first time guest packet, or to ask any questions you might have! Volunteers will be there to help.
We have partnered with Thrive Coffee in an effort to support the farmer direct movement. Please stop by our coffee bar in the main Lobby and grab a cup!
Your first stop on Sunday should be the HUB, it's located in the center of the main Lobby. One of our trained hosts will register your children using our fast and secure KidsLink check-in system. One of our hosts will also go over the name badges and parental security receipts, as well as personally guide you to your child’s environment. The name badges are required for admittance into any nursery, preschool or children’s environment. Your parental receipt number is unique every visit and corresponds to the security number printed on your child’s name badge. This number ensures that your child never leaves without a confirmed security number match. Also, once registered, you will be able to quickly and easily check-in your entire family at one of our three KidsLink kiosks on future visits.
